The students of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port-Harcourt were caught on camera rocking their matriculation gowns today, two days to the proposed date of the event.
The students becried of the cost of the gowns, saying the price set by the school management is too expensive, and not affordable by many of them.
The team approached some students who asked to remain anonymous, enquiring about the reason for the gown show seen on campus.
“The gowns are too expensive, my parents said they don’t have money for matric gown, I borrowed to pay for it, I won’t pull it o, I’ll wear it till matric day”
Another laughed, and seconded on the cost of the gown, saying many of her friends do not have money and may not join the match on Saturday.
