Onunu is a traditional food of the Kalabari tribe of Rivers State, Nigeria.
It involves a pounding of a mix of yam, ripe plantain and palm oil, it is best eaten with fresh fish peppersoup
- 1 medium sized tuber of yam
- 3 ripe plantains
