City Review: Rumoulumeni, Port-Harcourt

This week on City review we take a look at Rumoulumeni.

This is a residential area in Port-Harcourt city, it can be accessed by road and water, it is what is today very popular as Iwofe.

Road Network (6/10)

Rumoulumeni has a major double lane road that cuts across the area like scissors, but what is lacking is inner roads for residents, many of them bad and waterlogged and not very friendly during the rains.

Electricity (3/10)

Light no dey dey, It only comes up for three days when they want to come and collect NEPA bill (Electricity charge).

Government Presence (7/10)

Rumoulumeni boasts of many Government facilities. There is a Police station (Rumoulumeni divisional Headquarters) of the Nigerian Police, there is a state University, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, there is also a Navy base in Rumoulumeni, them try na.

Night Life (4/10)

Night life for here tire me, there is no club, street closes at 10PM, nothing come out.

Hotels (3/10)

There are few 2 star hotels around the place, but certainly not GRA standard.

Sanitation (5/10)

Not a very clean place, Rivers State Waste Management Agency has to do better.

Security (7/10)

Rumoulumeni is a very safe place to live and do business, the security agencies work acidiosly to maintain peace and order.


Rumuolumeni is a growing civilization, but the little details matters too.
